Hi, my name is Carin Heathcote, owner of Amanzi Soaps. I live in Midhurst, Ontario, Canada. I was born in Durban, South Africa and immigrated 25 years ago, when my husband was offered an opportunity to work in Canada.
I am very blessed to have a wonderful husband, two wonderful grown children and 4 grandchildren. I also have two dogs and four cats (three of which were strays that showed up at my door) PLUS 6 budgies.
I have always been creative and enjoy everything from sewing, decorating my home, gardening, beading, scrapbooking, card making, soapmaking and more.

How it all started
I was introduced to soap making a few years ago and loved the idea of using all natural ingredients; knowing exactly what I was putting on my body. Amanzi Soaps was born out of the desire to create natural products that would have healing and nutritive qualities – from soaps to natural crystal bracelets!
Our passion is in the creativity of our soapmaking, meticulously pairing different oils, butters, clays, botanicals & essential oils for products that not only smell and look amazing, but also have the most nourishing effects. We buy as many of our ingredients from local sources as possible, growing our own herbs and flowers such as rosemary, basil, lavender, sage, mint, calendula and of course dandelions. The dried herbs & flowers are then infused with natural oil.
Our line currently consists of natural crystal bracelets, soaps, bath bombs, shower steamers and accessories (all of which are hand crocheted by Carin’s mother!). We cannot wait to add more to our line of products such as sugar scrubs, body butters and so much more.
